By JF Perreault, founder of Triago · October 2, 2026
Email management software gives you three things. Time. Jobs that get their answer on time. And peace of mind. For JF Perreault, Triago's founder, Li-A reviewed 944 emails in 30 days. Triago filed 490 of them on its own. JF estimates he saves 2 to 3 hours a day.
These numbers come from Triago itself. They were measured in JF's two inboxes, Outlook and Gmail. The measurement is dated October 2, 2026.
| What Triago did | Over 30 days | Over 90 days |
|---|---|---|
| Emails reviewed by Li-A | 944 | 2,070 |
| Emails filed on their own on arrival | 490 | not counted |
| Emails sorted into their folder | 107 | 433 |
| Reply drafts prepared | 24 | 123 |
| Sent emails tracked for a reply | 10 | 42 |
| Follow-ups sent on their own | 3 | 17 |
The month's 24 drafts cost US$0.65 in AI. That is less than 3 cents per draft.
JF thought he got 20 to 50 emails a week. Triago counted about 220. He underestimated his inbox at least four times over.
Why? With Triago, JF only sees what needs an action. The rest is filed, sorted or tracked without him thinking about it. He stops feeling the volume.
JF says: “I feel like I save 2 to 3 hours. I think it's a lot more than that.”
The first gain isn't time. It's knowing where to start. JF: “When you open your inbox, you know right away how to work.”
JF names his tags by order of action, from A to D. What's at the top comes first. JF: “If I have time, I go further down. If I don't, I stay at the top.”
That is the real value: you close your laptop on Friday with a clear mind.
First, think about what your inbox can bring in. A quote answered the same day keeps the client with you. A supplier who gets an answer keeps your job site moving.
Then compare with an assistant. According to Canada's Job Bank, an administrative assistant in Quebec earns a median wage of $26 an hour. Full time, that is about $50,000 a year.
Triago costs $50 a month in the first year, then $100. Do the math.
Triago doesn't replace a person. It does the part of their work that happens in your inbox.
These are one person's numbers: the founder's. Your inbox is different. The time saved is JF's estimate, not a Triago measurement.
The only way to know for you is to try it on your real inbox. One free month to start: you add your card, and nothing is charged for 30 days.
It depends on your volume. JF, Triago's founder, estimates he saves 2 to 3 hours a day. He gets about 220 emails a week. Your own gain is measured on your inbox, during the free month.
Triago costs $50 a month in the first year, or $500 for the year. After that, it's $100 a month or $1,000 a year, plus taxes. An administrative assistant in Quebec earns about $50,000 a year, according to Canada's Job Bank.
Only what you turn on yourself, tag by tag. When a tag writes a reply, it's a draft, and you send it. For a follow-up, you put the “Triago - Follow up” label on a sent email (“Triago/Follow up” in Gmail). Triago prepares the follow-up after the delay you chose. You can turn on sending for follow-ups, or set a tag to reply and send on its own. Nothing goes out without you, except what you turned on.
Because Triago files the volume before he sees it. More than half of his emails that month were filed on arrival: 490 out of 944. He only saw what needed an action.
